Note:
This is the third of three Urban Hymns Demo bootlegs. This version contains the tracks "Don't You Want Me"? and "Bitter Sweet Symphony" which do not appear on the other two versions. Only five of the tracks on this collection made it to either the Urban Hymns LP or any B-side released with the single. A further three appeared on Richard Ashcroft's LP Alone With Everybody. The remainder are unreleased for the time being. Track 1, "A Little Bit of Love" was randomly played by Richard Ashcroft on his promotional tour for his first solo album. Track 16, "Through The Sky" appears on version 1 of the three set demos as "It Takes Two." It appears, by careful notice to detail, that this version is in fact different and is most likely an additional take. The differences are almost unnoticeable but are definitely present. The overall quality of the recording is again excellent and the presence of "Bitter Sweet Symphony" makes this version a slightly better pick over the other two. |
