I bought this one back in 1997, because during
holidays my neighbours at the camp site were running fast electrics in the local
pool every night.
Soon however this boat prooved to be a bit to fast for a swimming pool
(nearly cost me a boat three times over).
After destroying three speed controllers i fitted the boat with a Multiplex 125.
Also i had to fit water cooling, which was made from a piece of braking line
wrapped around the motor, and a piece of window sprayer hose, wrapped around the
speed controller, because both got way too hot. Water is taken in by a
home-built water intake below the hull and expelled through one of the dummy
exhausts on the back.

The Key West is an extremely fast boat which is
unforgiving and doesn't like waves.
On smooth water and given room it's in its element.
