Main House

Marshall Family Estate
The Marshall family home was built by Nick and Tess Marshall when they resettled in the Victoria area. The spacious main house sits atop a hill overlooking the ocean and, on a clear day, mainland British Columbia and Washington State. It is backed by their private forest and fronted by immaculate lawns as well as vast pastureland, land still used to raised the stock of Thoroughbred horses started by Nick Marshall, though the operation is significantly smaller than it originally was. The property includes many wooded paths perfect for a leisurely walk or ride, a secluded stretch of calm river for swimming or bathing, the obligatory leisure courts and swimming pool, and other amenities.

The main estate does not include waterfront property, but the family does own a modest, 3-bedroom beach house on a calm bay open to any family member to use and enjoy. Also included in the Marshall "estate" are several vacation homes, including a chalet on the north Vancouver Island ski hill of Mt. Washington, a remote lakeside cabin in B.C., and a tropical island getaway.
