In addition to local events organised by each individual group there are a small number of National events held each year.
These Are:
National Committee Meetings - these are held twice each year approximately one month in advance of the open national meetings. These meetings are semi-formal and the committee meets to discuss the broader issues affecting the running of the organisation at national level.
Organisers Meeting - This is usually held in the Spring and it is an Open meeting for all group organisers or their representative, and for the National Committee.
National AGM - This is held in November each year and is open to all members. The National Committee is elected at this meeting and other issues affecting the groups are discussed.
National Weekends - The "Fun Part" of Country Link! These weekends are usually held over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend and the last weekend in October each year. They are held in different parts of the Country and they are organised by and hosted by the local Country Link group. The weekends include two Dinner Dances, with discos and live bands, optional choices of day trips to places of local interest on Saturday and Sunday, and Sunday Lunch may be taken as an optional extra.
Recent weekends have been held in Bournemouth, Northampton, Nottingham, Woolacombe, Dumfries and Essex. Future weekends are planned for Shropshire, Cornwall, Derbyshire, Sussex, and Ayrshire.
PLEASE NOTE: You are required to be a member of Country Link in order to attend a National Weekend. See "Who Can Join" for more details of membership and subscriptions.
