The City of Victoria is a role playing room, not a chat room. If you come in, role play. If you just want to sit around and talk and bs, go to another room to do it. We are not like most other places on HTML Gor. We do try to go by the books as much as possible in HTML with a few exceptions for safety and keeping in mind that we are on Earth, not truly on Gor. We resepct that people have feelings and that many who come to play Gor often feel whats happening despite the fact that it is a game. To truly identify with a character, one must feel it. Psychologically, its natural to blend with the character played, so if there is a problem, talk to the Ubar or Ubara, they do understand more then you might realize.
While Victoria is a NO KILL/NO CAPTURE zone, there are circumstances which can lead to being killed, for example a slave who is kolared gets upset and says they would rather die then be in the kolar, fine, we can accomidate that, or if a true black caste member comes and makes a hit. Only true Gorean Assissin hits will be recognized, as they live by a code of honor and we respect that. All kills must be a 3 post miniumum. Forced kolars for disrespect are accetable after 1 warning and after punishment was given for the first offense.
All visitors will come in with an appropriate name. If warned once to get a proper name, you can and will be booted. Anonymous is not a proper name. If you want to deliver a message to someone specific but do not want to use your normal screenname, come in as a messenger and wait to be acknowledged before proceeding.
Interupting role play is a bootable offense.
If you are NOT of the city and not familiar with the city and its rules, do NOT order any city slave around!
If a slave comes in as an ~o~, the slave is not free game. We do not force kolar in Victoria unless under extreme circumstances which are explained further down. If you are not of the city, don't even think of kolaring a slave in Victoria, you will lose your head. Some girls are not permitted to serve yet.
The people of the city work together and are a family. Generally people are friendly within the city, however Gor is harsh and stranger means the same thing as enemy. If you want to learn about Gor, if you want a new start or if you are looking for someplace that feels more like home, come in and talk to the members of the city. Silence is not golden in Victoria. The least you can do is greet upon entering.
Everyone in the city is supposed to post where they are located. Its done in brackets, for example [dias] would be where someone was located or [garden]. The reason for this is so that we can more effectively role play within the city. If someone does not greet you right away and you have just come in or they have just come in, they are not at a place they can "see" you. We do try to make things realistic in our role play. Someone may also not say greetings, but may wave a greeting instead. That is to let you know that you are seen and acknowledged, but that they are in the middle of role playing something out. It gets to be fun when everyone works together.
Dualing is not acceptable. Anyone caught dualing will be punished or killed. The exception to this is that someone who plays an assissin type character that has NO ties to another, not slave or free, can have dual roles. The character that is not the assissin can have ties.
Message/chore boards are to be checked regularly by members and respond accordingly. All members must register on the board, its free and easy.
It is highly recommended that members of the city get icq. There are often times when we have meetings in icq for the city.
All members of the city are expected to partake of the city events.
All members need to be in the city at least 4 hours a week, a minimum of two days a week, unless council is aware of time away.
PM's are not permitted without prior permission. If a slave of the city is PM'd without permission from her owner, the slave WILL post the PM out in the open and the slave will inform the Ubara and another city member if the Ubara is not there, of the PM. Appropriate action will be taken.
Loyalty and Honor are a big deal in Victoria. If you have none, please leave.
