The Death Star Trench: Differences are, I'm sure u all know that the N64 trench wasn't straight, had those big gray blocks in the way and didn't necessarily remind u of the death star very much. In the gamecube version, the trench is straight and it doesn't have the same looking block thingy, thanks 2 bump mapped walls. Also the obstacles that are in your way are bridge like things and trust me, it's better like that.:) Last but not least, you can fly out of the trench during the mission without failing the mission like it was in N64. -britneyfanatic

Rouge Squadron 2 First Impressions: For any Star Wars fan, the expectations for Rogue Squadron 2 are big. The original for the Nintendo 64 was a great game, featuring good controls, decent framerate, and excellent sound. Rogue Squadron 2, for the Nintendo GameCube, is going to have to deliver big to top its predecessor. By the recent movies downloaded off IGN, I have to say that it looks like they did it. I can't comment on the control, but I can comment on the graphics, and the framerate. First of all, the graphics are some of the best I have ever seen. What makes this ever better is that with these great graphics the game runs amazingly smooth. Your ship moves at a great speed and there are so many lasers blasting around you, and so many ships flying that if the game was on the N64, it would freeze for sure. I was even more amazed when the player switched to the cockpit view and the game didn't slow down one bit, unlike in Rogue Squadron, where the framerate gets pretty bad once the cockpit view is activated. Overall, the movies are good. They show space battles and the Death Star Trench Run, which looks pretty much the same as the N64 version, except with more enemies. The game looks great even at this early state. -Gordan

ETERNAL DARNKESS FIRST IMPRESSIONS: I have recently downloaded the 51MB direct feed of Eternal Darnkess off IGN. You can view IGN's article here. The movie starts of with choosing a player. Once a player is picked the game starts up. Right off the bat we see the good graphics the GameCube can support, and the game is not even nearly finished. The movie shows mostly the player going around hacking enemies into peices. It resembles the Resident Evil games, but the view is a little better. The movie was impressive just because I got to see actual GameCube graphics, but the thing that amazed me the most was the sound. It was incredible. I couldn't believe this sound was coming out of my computer. I knew that the GameCube would have good sound but I had no idea it was going to be this great. The quality is superb. Silicon Knights have found great composers. The music does a great job of setting the mood for the game. Overall, I was satisfied with the movie. The graphics were good, but the sound is what really impressed me. I can only hope that other GameCube titles will have such great sound quality. -Gordan
Happy Birthday Dear Joanna: No one noticed! Exactly one year ago today, Perfect Dark was released. I went to other Perfect Dark sites and no one seemed to take note. I remeber how much I anticipated this and how excited I was. Although one year ago today was day it was availiable, it's official release date was yesterday of last year. It seems most people forgot about Joanna and didn't get here a birthday present, but you weren't invited to here party anyway, but I was:) -MasterGamer007

Prices: Nintendo officially declared that the price for GameCube will be $199.95 American Dollars. We were expecting this, as that was the estimate that has been floating around for sometime. The price of the games will be about $49.95. The game prices are expected to be the same for Play Station 2 and XBox. The price for XBox will be $299 American dollars. If they have a DVD and non-DVD version of XBox they didn't say which one is $299. If the DVD version is $299, then it is really worth it! It may be worth it to you anyway, depending on how strongly you favor XBox. -MasterGamer007
Star Wars: As you know, GameCube's Rouge Squadron 2 is looking great, but lets not forget what the other next generation consoles have to offer. Play Station 2 has Star Wars: Starfighter. I wasn't too impressed, but recently it was announced that XBox will have the honor of carrying Star Wars Starfighter: Special Edition. This game looks very good in the graphics department and it is supposed to be an improvement on the Play Station 2 version in many aspects. Related Star Wars games for PC include Knights of the old republic, Galactic Battlegrounds, and also Jedi Knight II -MasterGamer007
Crouching Tiger: Hidden Dragon: Ubi Soft has a worldwide game license for Crouching Tiger: Hidden Dragon. It should be interesting to see how they turn this movie into a game. There are plans for Crouching Tiger: Hidden Dragon to show up on GameCube, Play Station 2, XBox and PC. We should start seeing these games in the spring of 2002. -MasterGamer007
The Controller: Mr. Miyamoto is not happy with the camera stick on the Gamecube controller. It is most likely the camera stick is gonna be redesigned before the final designs are decided. In Luigi's mansion, the camera stick is used to move Luigi around and the analog is used to move his flashlight around. On that note the flashlight also acts as a stunner stunning ghost. If u get rid of all ghosts the room will morph back to its original non-haunted self. -britneyfanatic
Public Opinions Page: We want to start an opinion page. It will consist of your ideas. It will be interesting to hear your opinion on anything, just send it to me and I will publish it on the opinions page. It may be as long as you like. -MasterGamer007Saturday, May 19, 2001:
Rogue Leader: Rouge Squadron 2: Yes! New movies are now available. Click here to check out IGN's in game footage. -MasterGamer007
The Cube Startup: I've been wondering for quite a while if the GameCube itself will have a boot up animation or if only the game will, like with N64. Well, it has one for GameCube and I saw it. I'd say the Animation is pretty good. A small cube outlines the logo and then drops to the center to complete it....very cool. You'd have to see it for yourself. -MasterGamer007
Nintendo And Rare's New Look: Nintendo and Rare have given their web sites a complete makeover. They're a lot nicer now. Let's just hope they update more. In addition to that, on Nintendo's site, they have a nice E3 outline. It shows most of the games that will be presented. IGN Cube also has the latest news regarding E3. -MasterGamer007

Starfox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet: It seems as though britneyfanatic has a skill for snatching news while it's hot. New info has just surfaced on Dinosaur Planet and he quickly notified me while on AIM. It is apparently called Starfox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet. It's going to be launched with GameCube in the fall (hopefully). I have two links to information, I personally like RareWare's Better as it has more information. -MasterGamer007

Star Wars: Rogue leader, Rogue Squadron 2: Well, as officially announced, RS2 is the new star wars game by LucasArts for gamecube. It has some new features such
as: wingmancommanding, bump-mapping, and also day turning to night during flight. The game also has the original battle areas (lack of a better word) like: Death Star, possibly Death Star II, Hoth, and Bespin. The game is still in the works and the LEC said that the release is going to be fall 2001. We will keep you updated. If u have any questions, comments, e-mail me. -britneyfanatic

The NEW Bond?: As we all know, TWINE did poorly as predicted it would. As a result, EA has decided to scap TWINE for Play Station 2 and start working on a new game called "Agent Under Fire." Not much has changed. You still play as James Bond, but the plot is created by EA, so it will probably be just as bad, if not worse. It is currently planned for PS2, but there is a posibility it may be on XBOX or GAMECUBE also. -MasterGamer007

Star Trek Deep Space 9: Dominion Wars: From what I have seen so far, DS9:DW looks great. From what i've heard, they will make it look like it did in the last season of DS9. In Dominion Wars you can be the federation, klingon, jem`hadar, and the cardassians. Also the maquis raider will be there as well as the Romulan warbird. The federation ships range from smallest and less effective or however you say it, defiant (my personal fave ship) to the top of the like ship the galaxy class (think enterprise D) the feds will also have the intrepid class (voyager). The klingon's will have the most popular ships like the b'rel, vor`cha, and k'tinga, and there'll be a new design made by gizmo. You can also choose you captain like sisko for example, but some of the captains training's arent good or not fit I guess you could say, but when you choose on they get more experience in battle. The game will also have the badlands, DS9 space station and others, more info 2 come, and well keep you informed. -britneyfanatic

Ridiculous: Two years after Columbine High School massacre, some of the victims families filed a law suit against 25 companies, including Nintendo. They claim that the two gunman would not have killed 12 students, 1 teacher and themselves if it was not for violent video games, particularly "Doom." They're suing everyone they can, including middle men such as publishers and AOL, (don't ask why AOL). -MasterGamer007

Conker - The Truth: As I predicted, Conker's Bad Fur Day wasn't nearly as great as people were anticipating. Gordan couldn't have enjoyed Conker's Bad Fur Day for too long. He hasn't even finished it, and it seems as though he has put it aside. The lasting appeal isn't that great, most people agree, as the sales for Conker's Bad Fur Day are way lower than expected as you can see it IGN's report located here. I must admit that it is probably one of the most humorous games made for the N64, but once you get past the jokes, there isn't much left. -MasterGamer007

I'm Perfect!: I just got the rank of Perfect:1 in Perfect Dark. It was kind of a waste of time, because you don't get anything for it. I'd like to thank SubDrag for figuring out the ranking system, this helped me know which category to focus on. I'd also like to thanks ParagonX9, because I didn't even know the rank system was figured out until he told me. -MasterGamer007
