Palace Belvedere was the residence of Prince Eugene, general of the Habsburg Monarchy. In the 17th century he defeated the Turkish in Hungary, what was the birth of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He served three emperors and was always very successful in military conflicts.

Another "very imperial" place is the "Kaisergruft" (Imperial Burial Vault). When Joseph II, son of Maria Theresia, opened all parks (former hunting grounds for the aristocratic) for the "normal" people, the aristocrats protested: "Where can we go now to be on our's equals!" And the Emperor answered: "Well, where should I go? To the Kaisergruft?"....
