Before Rome
You travel upon an East-West road wide enough for 30 men to march abreast. It is packed hard through heavy use. To the west stands the Gates of Rome inviting you to enter and partake of all the glory and splendor that is Rome.
Musical Criz the Immortal Bard, is standing here.

Criz says 'Welcome to the Roman Empire! Within it's domain you could have many adventures...fight gladiators, trade with the citizens, try to get an audience with Julius Caesar, and even see the Roman Gods!

Criz snickers softly.
