PAUL TURNER

In September 1999, tenor Paul Turner made
his debut with Boston Bel Canto Opera in the role of Ruiz in Verdi's "Il
Trovatore." In December 1999, he sang the role of Kaspar in BBCO's production of
Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Visitors." He will sing the Cherry Duet from
Mascagni's "L'Amico Fritz" in BBCO's presentation of "An Evening of Verismo
Opera" at Jordan Hall in September 2000.
Mr. Turner has studied in workshops given by New England Conservatory (under the direction of Janice Giampa) and by the International Institute of Vocal Arts (Chiari, Italy). Mr. Turner is a poet and former leader, briefly, of the Newton Free Library Poetry Workshop, in Newton Massachusetts. |
