Boston Bel Canto Opera is dedicated to presenting the masterworks of the operatic repertory.  It applies the economies and focus gained from dispensing with scenery and costumes to achieving high musical values and dramatic involvement.  The company's goal is to present exciting and charismatic singers in collaboration with imaginative conductors and excellent orchestral ensembles.

Boston Bel Canto Opera was founded by Bradley Pennington, an expert and well-known voice teacher, accompanist and vocal coach, to give concert presentations of the masterworks of 19th century opera composers.  Our focus is on musical and dramatic values as opposed to spectacle and costuming.  Our performance home is Jordan Hall at the New England Conservatory of Music.  Our strategic partner is with North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra whose music director is Thomas Carlo BС.
