Symbol Touch Up:

"I find acrylic paints useful to touch up raised , painted areas on ponies, such as first teeth, and symbols on Sundae Best ponies. Be careful the paint matches perfectly, and is not too thick." -The Delaneys

Re-Placing & Re-Attaching Flutter wings:

Replacing Flutter Wings:

" Saw the request for flutter wings and just wanted you to know that there is a person in Arizona that makes flutter wings!! Her email address is 80stoys@writeme.com. Her name is Jill. She made a bunch for me to sell at the MLP Convention we had here in Tacoma a couple of weeks back. I have been very satisfied with them. Do not know what she would charge per pair cause she gave me a deal on a dozen pairs as long as I let everyone know she makes them. You might have seen them on ebay. Just for your info." - TJ

"Well, I use 2-liter plastic soda bottles for the plastic. I like the rounded top to give the wings curvature like the originals sort-of had. Just cut out whatever shape you want your wings to have out of the plastic and remember to cut a tab to insert them into the back of the flutter pony. For coloring, I used to use fingernail polish but now use acrylic craft paint that you can get from Wal-Mart or anywhere with a craft department. Apple Barrel or Folk Art paint is what I've been using. To keep the dried paint from scratching or chipping off, put a good coat of clear coat craft paint over any area you used the acrylic and it protects really well. I haven't found anything for the iridecent highlights the original wings had as of yet other than the fingernail polish but that leaves streaks when you brush over it too much. Hope this helps! :)" -~Flutter~

Reattaching flutter wings:

"[for reattaching the tabs to] the wings, I can say glue- super or glue gun" -Aine

Cleaning off Tail rust:

"To clean rust from tails, first carefully take the tail out of the pony (necessary since tail rust is caused by the rusty washer, and you have to take the tail off to get the washer off). Then soak the rusted end of the tail in a paste of comet and rust remover( make sure it is ok to mix your two brands!) and after it soaks a while gently rub. Keep soaking, alternating with a wash and rinse, until I've gotten the rust out. Then super condition the tail, and pop it back in." - The Delaneys

"One old remedy is a mix of lemon juice and salt...It's one of Grandma's all purpose stain removers :)" -BDF

Removing Ink Marks:

"Benzoil Peroxide Acne Cream will remove some ink marks, but it takes a long time to work; sometimes several days. Also, beware of using it on lavendar and dark pink ponies; it can leave bleach marks!" -The Delaneys

BBE Eye Rust Removal:

"I took a small toothbrush with fine bristles (one of those old Oral-B fancy numbers with the cluster at the front) and dabbed a bit of scrubbing bubbles foam on it and scrubbed it, all under the eyelid and up into her head. got rid of it in a hurry. You just have to take a Q-tip or hairdryer (carefully, don't melt anything) to get the moisture out and you should be able to get most of the eyelid discoloration out... but as far as their glassy eyes inside-- that's impossible I think." -Nightlight
