winter

While there were some beautiful spots in Rzeszow, including this lane near the center known as the Alley Under the Chestnuts, it's the people who made the experience memorable. Hello and thanks to my fellow Peace Corps and Solidarity Eastern Europe Volunteers: my Malopolska buddies, Hannah (for being such a great sport about the Hannah on the train pictorial series), Jenny (for going above and beyond the call of duty to trawl for, retrieve and bring back men for her friends) and Alycia (who went through too much with me to be recounted here), Daniel (who not only made a great MEAT lasagna but also provided much needed entertainment on those long train trips), Robert (who tried to make us behave in Polish class), Jennifer I (words escape me), David (whose great advice kept Peace Corps Warsaw from harassing me)... And a special thanks to my colleagues, Ewa and Ania who fed and entertained me for three years and last but not least to my students at the Politechnika Rzeszowska for alternately making me laugh and want to scream. You're great and I'll never forget any of you!
