It's now the end of my sophomore year, and I still haven't been doing much with saxophone...I do piddle around with it every once in a while. I'm in the CHS Jazz band, but I'm doing solo clarinet rather than sax. I did try out for barisax though, and maybe by my senior year, I'll get barisax again. We'll just have to see. As far as marching band, it looks like I maybe playing alto once again next year for my junior year. I did have a good experience this past february though with saxophone...I was attending the Frost Beginning Band concert in order to help out and listen to the Frost Jazz Band as guest artists. Before the concert started, I was informed that the Bari-sax player in Frost's Jazz Band was not there to perform (he was sick), and I was asked to play bari in his place! It was really nice to get to play some of the songs I played 2 years ago when I was at Frost, and on a bari :)
