Jazz Selections

These snappy songs are all song that I listen to at home, and play at home on my sax! I hope you love listening to them as much as I do playing them!!

Take Five-This song has a lot of sentimental value to me. Not only is this my dad's absolute favorite jazz song, but the FMS Jazz Band played this along with the Churchill Jazz Band during our May '98 concert. It's also got a funky "groove", as Mr. Murphy says!

Harlem Nocturn-Another FMS Jazz Band performance piece. In fact, my friend (who plays 1st alto) played the main portion of the song. Needless to say, he loved it, but I had a boring part...=)

Summertime-Yet another FMS '98 Jazz Band performance piece. I love this one, because it reminds me of (what else?!) summer!

How High The Moon-Now, I didn't play this one, but the '97 FMS Jazz Band did! They played it great too! You'll love this one!

Ain't Misbehavin'-I love to listen to this one on CD with Count Basie and the Standards!!!

Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy-Another movie song, this time from the movie "For the Boys" starring Bette Midler!!

Birdland-One of my favorites and also a featured piece of the '96-'97 Frost Jazz Band!!

Sing,Sing,Sing!-One of my jazz band songs that I perform! Also more commonly known as the Chips Ahoy song!

Copa Cobanna-A light bossa nova jazz song...I like this one as well!!
