My name is Althea and I'm from Singapore. I come from a family of three, which basically is made up of myself, my dad, Leslie, and my mum, Joyce. Currently, I'm studying Pharmacy in the National University of Singapore. I'm in my final year now, and am savouring every moment (not much of the exams part though...). I was formerly a student of Anglo Chinese Junior College and graduated in '97. In there, I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics 'C' at 'A' level, besides the compulsory 'AO' subjects, General Paper and Chinese. I was also a member of the Dance Society and represented my school in the SYF dance competition in 1997. Photos can be seen in my photo gallery.

I have many hobbies as I'm basically a very active person. I love to dance, especially ballet, which I have learnt for 15 years, only giving it up recently due to the lack of time and the hectic schedule of uni life. I also go "chionging", (a slang used locally when one goes to discos) mostly with my uni friends. I love music too, especially classical music, and play the piano myself. Besides the arts, I love playing basketball, ice skating (for fun, not very good at it), watching movies, and observing the surroundings. Uhhuh! I am no peeping tom, so don't jump into conclusions. No, I just like to observe people around me when I'm out on the bus, or even shopping, and absorbing the beauty of the places around me.

I love teddy bears!!!!!!!!!! Yup, and I'm a proud owner of a number of my favourite teddies, the Forever Friends bears. That's why this whole site is filled with them... =) I also have an entire ecard section of beary cards, so do pop over to take a look. I love collecting tea sets too. I have about 8 tea sets to date, proudly displayed in my showcase. One of my favourites is shaped like a potato-baby, with eyes and buck teeth. Another one of my favourites has bears printed on it. One of my most treasured tea sets is a typical Chinese tea set, with a drawing of a dragon that changes colour when hot water is poured into the cup or tea pot. This is the most recent tea set purchased as well as the most expensive.

Besides teddy bears, I love stuff toys in general. I used to have loads of them, before I gave them away to the Salvation Army. Now, the ones I'm left with are those given to me by friends recently. Of these are a plush toy of Pikachu, one of the characters of Pokèmon, as well as a cute little raccoon, which are my favourites, besides my teddies. Here's a graphic picture of my raccoon, Baobao:
