Weary travelers can rest at Phakding and get ready for the long climbs
to Namche as these seem to go on for ever. At this point they will get
to know the Nepali guest house kitchen, with its typical tea thermos and
wood oven.
On the way from Phakding to Namche there is a huge fall (this is actually
two pictures pasted together.)
The way has many bridges to cross. Some are steady (mostly Swiss
made).
And some seem to be small, almost crumbling. Since lots of Yaks travel
these bridges, the "light" western traveler should have not fear the gods
of gravitation...
The first point where mount everest is seen.
