Rebecca M. Gonzales is currently the Head Band Director of the Sam Rayburn Middle School Band in the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio Texas. Previously, she worked for five years as the Assistant Band and Choir Director of Rogers Middle School in the San Antonio Independent School District.

In addition to her duties to Rogers M.S., Rebecca also assisted other middle schools in SAISD, including Connell M.S., Longfellow M.S. and Irving M.S. as a horn teacher.

Rebecca is a 2001 graduate of the University of Texas-San Antonio, where she earn a Bachelor's of Music Studies degree. She held the title of Ensemble Associate in the Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Robert Rustowicz. She was Ensemble Associate in Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Ken Williams. She has studied horn under Stig Jensen.

She was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band (section leader), UTSA Orchestra (principal), the former University Band, and played in brass ensembles in the San Antonio area. Rebecca was a member of the San Antonio Symphony Mastersingers, singing alto.
