*There has been some confusion as to the copyright date for SWAMP FOETUS: On the title page, it is listed as 1993; on the copyright page it is listed as 1994. We are following the later date, as it corresponds to when the Borderlands edition first became available.

**To date, there have been four editions of SWAMP FOETUS released: A limited edition hardback from Borderlands Press, a mass market hardback from Borderlands Press, a trade-paperback edition from Penguin U.K., and the retitled Dell Abyss paperback edition, WORMWOOD).

***In the U.S., SWAMP FOETUS was released under the title, WORMWOOD. The title change was made at the request of Dell's editorial offices.

+One interesting point about the German edition of LOST SOULS (besides the bizzarre cover art), is that three epigraphs appear which are not included in any other edition, two by Tom Waits, and one from Dylan Thomas.

++Originally titled BIRDLAND.

All works copyright 1986, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 by Poppy Z. Brite.
