Pamela Williams, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is frequently seen on the operatic stage having performed title roles such as Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Carmen in La Tragedie de Carmen, Bastien in Bastien and Bastienne, as well as Voice of the Mother in Tales of Hoffman, Genevieve in Pelleas et Melisande, Zita in Gianni Schicchi, and the Grandmother in Tulsa Opera's Outreach performances of the world premiere ofDreamkeepers and many other roles with Opera Memphis, Tulsa Opera, Quad City Mozart Festival, Nashville Opera and the Indiana University Opera Theatre.

She has performed as a soloist with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, Fayette Chamber Orchestra and numerous university and chamber orchestras. Ms. Williams has performed with various groups including the Capital City Chamber Players, performing in chamber concerts throughout the southeast, the Music of the Baroque ensemble, and the Chicago Symphony Chorus. In the 1998 season, Ms. Williams was selected as an Artist-in-Residence for Tulsa Opera as well as the Natchez Opera Festival. The 1999-2000 season marks her first year as a member of the chorus at Lyric Opera of Chicago. In addition, she will be performing throughout Chicago in recital and concert, making her debut as a soloist with the Apollo Singers. Ms. Williams holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Georgia State University and a Master of Music degree from Indiana University, where she studied with Costanza Cuccaro. Her world premieres include the song cycle A Life Filled with Flowers by Daniel Michalak and Sid Selvidge's children's opera RiverSongs, in which she created the role of Gloriana.
