Ii Shinlon tells the Super Saiya-jin 4's, Goku and Vegeta, if only they fought seriously when they fused, and calls them stupid for playing around. Vegeta gets angry that Ii called them both stupid, he tells Ii that Kakarotto is the stupid one. Ii tells them that it must be humiliating for them to have wasted so much time when they realized they were strong. Vegeta tells Ii to shut up, and blames everything on Kakarotto. Goku tells Vegeta that he should take half the responsibility. Vegeta tells him to shut up, and it's now because of him that they have no choice but to fuse again.

Goku tells Vegeta that's easy, just fuse. Vegeta gets mad saying it's not easy, and asks him if he knows what he's really talking about. Goku doesn't know, and Vegeta blushes red, and he tells Goku that if they fuse again, it means he has to do those ridiculous moves again. Goku thinks this is a small matter, but Vegeta doesn't agree. Ii has stepped closer (also kicked a soda can out of the way), and tells them not to worry because he won't give them another chance to fuse. Ii starts glowing, and some stones float him into the sky...

Goku tells Vegeta that they should fuse once more, and Ii tells them he won't give them a second chance. He flies at them saying he will be the winner of the fight, and punches both Goku and Vegeta in the gut. The 4 star ball flies out of Goku's hands, and Ii Shinlon locks on to it with a beam, and brings it back to him. He grabs it saying once he's swallowed the Dragon Ball, he can finish them both off. But Goku flies along and knocks it out of his hand. Goku catches it, and tells Ii he won't give it up to him. Goku then tells Ii that maybe he should swallow the Dragon Ball, and he drops it into his mouth.

This surprises everyone, and Vegeta calls him an idiot. Goku starts swallowing, but it's lodged in his throat, and Goku clutches it. He falls to the ground, and Vegeta runs to him telling him to spit it back out. Goku then completes swallowing it. Ii tells them that taking one Dragon Ball from him won't save them from defeat. Vegeta tells him that Kakarotto always does things without thinking, and he flies in to attack. Goku then says he doesn't want to admit it, but it's true.

Ii Shinlon dodges Vegeta, and Goku comes in to help. Ii tells them that without the fusion, they are just garbage, and he knocks Vegeta away. Then he punches Goku and kicks him away. They both fly into the same building. Ii awaits them from the other side, and the building implodes. He waits, yet nothing happens, then he realizes they could be... In side the fallen building, Goku moves some rubble off of him, and he suggests to Vegeta that they should fuse when Ii can't see them. Vegeta, under a ton of rubble, tells him this is not the time for that.

Ii Shinlon then gets scared and starts blasting the building. After it explodes, Ii tells them to come out, he knows what they are planning and they are fine. Then, two bright balls of light emerge from the rubble. Ii tells them that they don't have to use tricks anymore, and that they will die. Goku tells him not to be so cocky. He was lucky their fusion ran out of time. Ii tells him that all he knows is talk, they didn't use their full strength when fused, and now they still just talk. Ii punches Goku in the face, then kicks Vegeta.

Goku attacks, but gets hit in the gut... Then Vegeta attacks, but Ii blocks every hit. Vegeta then manages to kick Ii into a building, but he flies right back out. Vegeta is amazed at his power, and starts blasting him with many blasts. They hit, but have no effect, and Ii punches Vegeta a couple of times. Goku comes flying in headbutting Ii's head from above. Vegeta is dropped to the ground, and Goku flies back a bit. Ii tells him it was good, it had a small effect... Goku tells him that he first thought he had to use ki to beat him, and now he finds that these old-fashioned techniques are useless.

Ii Shinlon tells him that not only those old-fashioned ones, but all their attacks are useless against him. Ii attacks, but Goku dodges his moves... Then they both throw a fist at each other, but only Ii's connect to Goku's face. Goku knows he can't do a thing to him, and yells asking Vegeta if he's decided to fuse yet. Vegeta on the ground slowly walks towards them... He curses him, and flies into the sky to be beside him. Vegeta says this is the last time, and they start the fusion dance. Ii flies in yelling that he won't give them a second chance, and he hits both of them into some city ruins.

Goku jumps out quickly and tells Vegeta he wants to try again... Vegeta, under some rubble, calls him stupid and tells him to look up... Ii flies in hitting Goku away... Vegeta then starts blasting Ii multiple times, to no effect, and Ii punches him away. Ii lands on the ground and smiles. Goku tells Ii that he is powerful, and realizes they can't fuse so easily. He slowly walks towards Ii, telling him he's right... When they fused as SSJ4s, they got powerful, and wasted time... He's upset that they wasted the opportunity to kill him.

Ii doesn't want him to say anymore pointless things and prepares a finger blast aimed at Goku's heart... Then a rock hits Ii in the head... Vegeta stands behind him holding another... Vegeta tells him that they won't die before he is beaten, and now that they have to fuse to win, they will fuse no matter what. Goku agrees, and they both blast Ii... In the explosion, they fly away to a rooftop and start the fusion dance. Ii tells them again that he won't let them, and they both blast him causing another explosion. Goku tells Vegeta they should hurry and fuse.

Up in the sky, Ii is now zipping around, then kicks them both off the rooftop... Then he zips below them and hits them elsewhere... Ii follows, then explosions are seen with Goku and Vegeta yelling in pain. Goten can't take it anymore, Trunks wants to follow, but Gohan stops them. Trunks tells him not to worry, since they stalled Ii before they can do it again. Gohan tells him that they can't use the same tactic twice. He tells them Ii is too powerful, even able to counter their SSJ4 fathers' moves. He thinks if they go, they will be useless. More explosions are seen, and more yells from Goku and Vegeta are heard. Gohan steps up to Goten telling him that he's angry too, but they must leave the Earth to Goku and Vegeta to defend...

(Commercial Break)

On the Kaioushen Homeworld, the crystal ball shows the events at hand... Kaioubit watches worried and sees Rou Kaioushen listening to music on a boombox. Kaioubit destroys it to get his attention, which hurt the old guy's ears. Kaioubit is angry that he would listen to music at this time and tells him Goku and Vegeta are in danger. Rou Kaioushen tells him he knows, and yells that there's no point in worry because they can't do anything about it. Kaioubit knows that but they are still Kaioushens of this region...

Rou Kaioushen pours a cup of tea, and tells Kaioubit he knows he means well, but he's taking his role too seriously. He tells Kaioubit that when they have a problem, they should relax and think of a solution. Kaioubit asks what they should do about this situation then... Rou Kaioushen suggests they do some stretching first. Rou Kaioushen tells him he's kidding, then says that they should put all their hopes into Goku, and that he has faith in him. He thinks Goku must be thinking of a way to fuse with Vegeta again. He thinks he's the best, and will find a way.

Back on Earth, Ii Shinlon punches Goku in the gut, then knocks him into the ground. Vegeta attacks, but is then kicked away into a building. Goku then pops up and starts a Kamehameha behind Ii... Vegeta also pops up and fires a Final Flash from the other side (in front of Ii), and both beams hit causing a great explosion. Then, Ii reappears on top of a building behind Goku. Ii tells them that he is dissappointed at how pathetic their powers are when they don't fuse. Vegeta wonders what Ii is, for he is unscratched.

Ii Shinlon then tells them he realized something... He doesn't have to waste energy trying to take them both out... All he has to do is take one of them out, and they won't be able to fuse... He points at Vegeta and says he'll take care of him first... Then a he says ki blasts are like this and fires at Vegeta knocking him back. Goku then attacks Ii, and Ii prepares another blast... On the Kaioushen Homeworld, Kaioubit tries to tell him to not be so rash. Rou Kaioushen pops in and calls his name as well.

Ii Shinlon places the ball of energy right in front of Goku's gut and disappears... Goku flies back from the explosion, and Ii reappears and gets him in a hold... Ii tells Goku that he better kill him first, and starts choking him... Pan and Gohan watch worried... Goku tells Ii that they can still fuse, and grabs Ii's head and throws him into the ground. He then yells at Vegeta to fuse, and he runs up, but Ii pops back up again... He starts firing many red blasts, and Goku jumps to tackle Vegeta throwing them both out of the way.

Goku starts saying that he wouldn't have guessed Ii was that powerful... Their attacks are useless... Vegeta curses, for even if they can't fuse, he couldn't believe that they couldn't just use the powers of a Super Saiya-jin 4 to beat him. Goku tells him that they have no choice, they must fuse, and asks if Vegeta is determined to do that. He tells Vegeta that he suggested Fusion even though he thinks it's disgusting... Ii starts flying towards them again... Goku continues saying that they can't give up so easily.

Ii Shinlon then tells them that his evil energy will kill them, then destroy the Earth, and then the whole galaxy... Ii then starts a red finger blast... Goku tells Vegeta not to worry, they are the last of the Saiya-jins, they will not lose. They then attack dodging a couple of Ii's blasts... But Ii fires again catching Vegeta in a red energy twister... He fires at Goku, and they both fly back hiting cement (Vegeta), and a glass skyscraper (Goku). Glass shards drop and stick to the ground... Goku lands on his feet then collapses.

Goku thinks that they may lose this time, then sees his reflections off the broken glass... He then thought of something, another move they can try. Ii Shinlon is surprised Goku can still stand, and sees that he is Son Goku. Goku tells Vegeta (unburying himself) that they should use Zanzoken (Multi-Image Technique). Vegeta hears this and is eager to fuse. They stand beside each other, and Goku tells Ii that they are going to fuse, and to watch carefully. They both start running leaving behind some afterimages. Ii tells them that he already said he won't let them.

Goku and Vegeta start running all around Ii Shinlon leaving behind many images of themselves circling them. A couple of these stop and start the fusion dance, and Ii blasts them, and it goes through them to Ii's surprise. Then, behind him, another pair start the fusion dance, and Ii blasts them to no effect... And another, and more useless blasts... Ii blasts another image of Goku... But then, one of them complete the fusion dance and a giant flash of light bursts forth....

Ii Shinlon looks behind him and the light is coming from a rooftop... Ii thinks he's in trouble now... After the light subsides, Goku and Vegeta still stand there in the fusion pose... They wondered what happened, and Ii starts laughing saying that they scared him, then asks what they are up to... Ii blasts them, and they jump out of the way. Goku thinks it's impossible, and Vegeta asks him what's going on... Goku says he doesn't know, then tells Vegeta that he didn't point his finger out in the last pose. Vegeta then starts shaking Goku by the shoulders, upset that he would think he got it wrong. He's done this hideous dance many times now...

Ii Shinlon starts laughing again, disappointed that they don't have a way to fuse anymore... Pan asks the group why her grandpa can't fuse... Trunks says he's not sure, then thinks Goku lost a lot of energy fusing as a SSJ4, then the fight with Ii... Trunks starts to think that Goku's lost too much energy to fuse, and thinks that Ii Shinlon may know that now. Ii Shinlon tells Goku and Vegeta that they should try fusing again. Goku asks him if they succeed they will beat him, so isn't he scared... Ii closes his eyes in a nod.

Goku and Vegeta start the Fusion Dance again, and the flash of light appears again... The good guys watch anxiously... After the light subsides, Goku and Vegeta are still in their Fusion pose, but Goku is a kid again. Goku smiles saying that he turned back to this again... The good guys are in shock, and Pan realizes Goku has lost all his SSJ4 powers now... Ii tells them that because they kept trying to fuse they lost a lot of energy... In addition to his powerful attacks, and he tells Vegeta that he soon will be like Goku and have no energy.

Vegeta steps back in shock, and Ii Shinlon prepares a blast... He tells them that he still wants to play... Vegeta is angry that he's underestimating him... Goku prepares to fight as well telling Ii that he won't be easily beaten, and the four star ball appears in Goku's forehead...
