Goku: Grandma... I will be strong. I will get the Dragon Ball and wish you back!
Goku wipes the tears from his eyes and starts running towards Satan City, back home. As he runs he starts to think back to the time he got the Dragon Ball...

Pan's on a hospital bed with Goku by her side...
Pan: Be strong Goku...
A pain rips through her heart and she faints.
Now outside the room...
Goku: Is grandma going to die?
Back home in the dark on a rainy night... Goku sees a picture of a young Pan and Gill.
Goku: Dragon Ball...
Outside a convenient store, a fat dark skinned kid in a red shirt and brown vest sits as Goku walks up.
Goku: Pakku... What are you doing here?
Pakku: I want to be there when the monsters of Mount Paozu eat you.
The image of a blue skinned, orange hair, female demon holding a large knife is flashed.
Now at night, Goku and Pakku are crossing a rickety old rope bridge...
Goku: I'm scared!!!
Goku hangs onto the side.
Pakku: Goku!
The ropes snap and Pakku falls into the dark ravine....
Pakku: Gokuuuuuu!!!!
Goku is swung to the side of the ravine and lands on a ledge.
Flashes of the other demons of Mount Paozu occur... A bluish frog-like demon, a giant rooster demon, and a giant purple pig that can change his arms into various things.
Now during sunset, Goku rides a bear and finds his Grandpa Goku's old house.
The Dragon Ball is brought out and Goku prays to it. Grandpa Goku appears, then a police flyer comes carrying Pan and Pakku. Goku looks back and Grandpa Goku is gone...

Now Goku is running down the streets of Satan City, and Pakku is up ahead.
Pakku: Goku! What's going on? Did you see the lights?

Goku turns around and finds Goku Sr. standing behind him. Then, Pakku runs into the backyard and stops at the sight of Goku Sr.
Pakku: Who's that?
Goku: Grandpa Goku!
Goku Sr: Goku... I'm sorry.
Goku: Grandpa?
Goku Sr: A great danger is coming to here... and all because of mistakes I've made. You and your friends are just not ready yet...
Goku: Ready for what?
Goku Sr: For what's coming... Long ago the power of the Dragon Balls were sealed because we abused them...
Goku and Pakku look puzzled.
