In a quiet and empty street... Gust stands in the middle, both katanas drawn... Bodies lie on the ground all around him... Suddenly, Saedo appears.
Saedo: Looks like I was too late... Ummm, master?
Gust snaps his neck towards Saedo and gives him an angry stare.
Saedo: I see you've been blowing off some steam...
Gust dashes at Saedo and slashes upwards once at Saedo with a katana... Saedo remains motionless as the blade passes millimeters past his face.
Saedo: Master?
Gust: Just who's side are you on?
Saedo: I don't know what you mean... Your's of course.
Gust: Hmph! (sheathes both swords) I'm leaving. You take care of the rest. (starts walking away)
Saedo: Shall I dispose of them the usual way?
Gust just waves a little without looking back as he walks away. Saedo walks to the bodies while armed with his Gauntlets...
Meanwhile, at the storehouse...
Boss Thug: Time to die brat!
Shade: Mind if we crash the party?
Shade and Kari stands behind the thugs wielding Infinity and Jegen...
Boss: Who are you?
Kari: We're just here to stop your evil ways!
Shade: And collect any rewards along the way!
Boss: Hmph! Bounty hunters? Boys! Show them what we think of bounty hunters!
The thugs all turn their attentions to Shade and Kari... They snicker, crack their knuckles, and start walking slowly towards them.
Boss: Now to take care of you personally... (turning back to the boy) Hey!
The boy is no longer paying attention to them, and is just talking to the girl.
Boss: Bastard!
The boss dashes over and tries to punch the boy, but his fist hits a barrier.
Boss: Oww, damn you! (punches a few more times to be sure, but hits barrier)
Boy: Hey mister! That can't be good for your hands...
Back with Shade and Kari...
Shade: This doesn't seem fair you know...
Kari: I know what you mean...
Shade knocks out each goon that comes at him easily with a sheathed Infinity, while Kari does the same using her flute.
Shade: This is getting boring...
Suddenly, one of them fires the flame thrower at Kari engulfing her in a huge ball of fire.
Flame Thrower Guy: Hehe... That that you bitch!
From the flame a figure steps out... Kari holds an open Jegen, and throws aside the flames...
Kari: Whew... That was close...
Kari rushes at the flame thrower and slices it with Jegen, then knocks the guy out with her flute before he even reacts.
Back with the boss...
Boss: Damn them! Just who are they... Gimme that! (grabs a flame thrower off some goon) I better finish the brat off while I have the chance!
The boss blasts the kid, but the flame is deflected by the barrier... Then, he starts blasting continuously engulfing the boy and girl in a huge fire ball...
Shade: Damn, the kids!
Shade and Kari quickly finish off the rest of the goons and runs towards the boss...
Boss: Hehehe... Too late!
The ball of fire suddenly disappears, and the flame turns into a straight blast...
Boss: MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
Shade: Damnit!
Infinity unsheathes, and Shade slices up the flame thrower... Kari goes inspects the fire... Suddenly, the flame explodes out in all directions... And from it, the boy and the girl stands unscathed... The boy is behind the girl, and hugs on tightly... The girl hovers slightly above the ground, eyes glow a bright yellow, and a wind blows up her hair and clothes...
Boss: The girl? It was the girl all along?
Then, a force is emitted by the girl directly in front of her, blowing all objects, and people away. The front of the store house is blown away as well. From the rubble, Shade and Kari get back up...
Shade: Oww... That sure packed a punch...
Kari: That girl sure has a lot power...
The boy and the girl steps out from the storehouse...
Boy: Looks like we'll have to look for another place to stay...
Suddenly, from behind them, the boss thug quickly grabs the boy and holds him by the neck with his elbow.
Boss: Gotcha!
The girl raises her head and stares blankly at them.
Boss: Don't try anything funny! Or I'll snap this runt's neck!
The thug starts inching away...
Boy: Let go of me!
A ball of energy forms in each of the boy's hands... He then shoves them into the thug's face. They explode and he drops the boy. The boy runs to the girl... The thug clenches his face in pain...
Boss: Why you...
The boy is now facing the thug, both hands held in front of him, while the girl is behind, holding both his shoulders...
Boy: Eat this!
A glow engulfs both the boy and the girl, and a large energy ball forms in the boy's hand... Then a beam of energy fires from his hands and strikes the thug.
Shade: Whoa...
Kari: Those kids...
Boy: Hehe... That was fun...
The thug is on the ground unconsciencious, and smoldering...
Shade: That was great kid! The name is Shade, and this is Kari.
Boy: I'm Souka! And this is Tia.
Kari: (to Tia) Hi there... Are you two brother and sister?
Souka: We're not related, but she's my Sis!
Kari: I see... Um, is she all right?
Souka: Sis doesn't say much anymore... Not since... (starts looking down)
Shade: Hey, do you mind if we take these guys (the thugs) away?
Souka: Sure, but what do you want them for?
Kari: Shade! You're not stealing their bounty!
Shade: Come on... They weren't going to collect on them anyways...
Souka: Bounty?
Kari: That doesn't matter! They were the ones that beat him, so they get the reward!
Souka: We can sell these people?
Kari: Heh, no not sell... Sometimes bad guys have bounties on their head, and if we catch them, we can get a reward.
Souka: Candy?
Shade: Gold.
Kari: Come on. We'll show you where to go.
Souka starts walking hand in hand with Kari and Tia.
Kari: Shade, be a dear and carry the bounties.
Shade: What!? Since they beat him, they should carry him!
The trio have already walked away and ignore Shade.
Shade: Damn them!
Shade starts slinging a few of them over his shoulders, then drags the rest by the collars, and begins following Kari, Souka, and Tia.
Later, at a guard station, the four of them leave with their respective rewards...
Shade: Damn small fry... Hardly worth all this effort...
Kari: Quit sulking! It's better than nothing...
Shade: We could have caught a big one...
Eyes the big bag of gold Souka is carrying.
Kari: (with a smile and a sweatdrop) It's not ours to take...
Souka: Wow... Do you sell bad guys all the time?
Kari: (keeps smiling) Hehehehehehe... We don't se... Sigh. Not all the time. We do other work as well.
Souka: Sounds fun! Can I do it too?
Shade: No.
Kari: Of course you can! Especially with the power you two have got...
Shade: (whispering to Kari) What are you doing!?
Kari: (whispering back) Huh? What do you mean?
Shade: (still whispering) You're creating competition!
Kari: (whispering) Don't be silly! They're just kids!
Shade: (whispers) Kids with powers! We should crush them now!
Kari: Shade!
Shade turns around and finds Souka standing there... Smiling obviously.
Souka: I wanna be strong like Shade and beat bad guys for money!
Shade: Really? Well I guess you really are a good kid...
Kari: Great! You two are getting along... It'll make telling you that they're gonna live with us much easier now.
Shade: What!?
Kari: Well, they don't have a home, so I thought...
Shade: What!? Don't they have parents or something?
Kari: (big round wet eyes) They're orphans! So can't we just let them stay with us?
Shade reels back... Looks at Kari for a while... Then drops his head down...
Shade: All right all right...
Kari & Souka: Yay!
Shade: (very low voice) Damn you...
Kari, Souka, and Tia walk away leaving Shade behind...

Shade walks down the hall towards the other room... Suddenly, Souka's head hits a beam and is knocked unconscious. Shade holds him now.
