God's Love for You

In Matthew 10:29-31 the Word of God declares, "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one ofthem shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."

In this portion of Scripture, the Lord established a tremendous foundation and a great truth.

First, that His love for you and me cannot be measured. His love for you is so great that the very hairsof your head are numbered - love so great, so divine, and so eternal that He watches over you continually.

The song writer stated it so well, "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me."

Today, rest assured in the fact, God loves you no matter what. That's why Paul cried, "And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." (Ephesians 3:19)

The moment you and I know how deeply loved we are, it's so easy to receive from the Lord. Once you know the love of God, you will no longer struggle with questions like..."Does God love me?" "Will He hear me?" "Will He answer my prayer?"

That's why Paul also said, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)

Just remember, He loves you so much that He has numbered the hairs on your head!

Second, not only does God love you, but He loves you as you are and knows you better than you know yourself.

The Bible declares in Psalm 139:1-4, "O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether."

Remember, you are of great value to God. The Lord has placed great value on you. You are worth more to God than all His creation...more than the entire universe, every planet, and every galaxy. That's why, following the creation of the world and the animals, God said, "Good," but when God created man, He said, "Very good."

So great is the value God placed on you that He sent His only begotten Son to die for you. The blood of Jesus was not shed for the angels, but for you and me. No angel can sing the song of redemption, but you and I can.

When we begin to see our value as God sees it, then we begin to receive from the Lord that which belongs to us. It becomes so easy to receive all that we need - our liberty from bondage and oppression, peace of mind and peace of soul, blessings untold, and healing and health. As long as we refuse to see our value and think that God doesn't care about us, we are unable to receive anything. But the moment we realize how valuable we are to God, then receiving from His hand becomes so simple and glorious.

He loves you so much that the Scripture declares, "How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee." (Psalm 139:17-18)

Think of it! God thinks about you so much that His thoughts toward you cannot be numbered. And Jeremiah 29:11 declares that the thoughts that God thinks toward you are thoughts of peace and not evil to give you an expected end.

Remember, He cares as the song writer expressed, "His heart is touched with your grief. When the days are dreary and the long nights weary, I know my Savior cares."

God's love is so great...as David declared in Psalm 23:1-6, He gives you:

You are loved, you are loved, you are loved! And God knows you better than you know yourself. Rest assured, no one can pluck you out of His hand. (John 10:28-29)
