  Brief – bio-data.                                                               Virendra Patel.

 Born :  Bharoda , India. 1956. April.                                                                                                                                                  

1979: B.A. (painting) Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University of Baroda, India.                                                 

1982:  M.A. (painting) Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University of Baroda, India.                                                            

1980:  Done advance course in painting from St. Martin’s school of Art, London.  

As ‘Elizabeath  Greenshield’ scholar.                                                                                                                                                       

 1975: Participated in print making workshop organized by national  lalit  kala academy, N.Delhi.                           

1978: Participated in print making workshop for artist organized by national lalit kala academy, 

N.Delhi. Group and solo show of prints at Baroda and New Delhi.                                                                                                 

1979: Group show of Drawings at ‘Urja Gallery’. Baroda.                                                                                                 

1980: Participated in ‘Kasouli Artist Camp’ organized by Punjab University, Chandigarh                                  

1981: Awarded ‘Elizabeth Greenshild Foundation’ scholarship for further studies in painting.                            

1982: Solo show of paintings at Artist Bhupen Khakhar’s residence Baroda.                                                                

1983 – 2000: had various show of paintings and terracotta toys and pottery in various gallery.                          

1997-98: Invited to ‘harmony’ Show celebrating 50 years of independence.                                                             

1998: participated in ‘Sahmat’ Show of ‘Gift for India’.

2000: Finished Commission Work For ‘Amul’Museum depicting history of Milk co-operative in India. Total  120’x21’  photo – text mural. Also made  animation for the same museum depicting same topic.

 Since1983,  I am teaching design foundation course in various architecture colleges.
