Lehah
Formerly a high-ranking member of the Order of Saint Dumas, Lehah found more lucrative matters in the guntrade. Having been then sanctioned as a betrayer of the Order, Azrael was sent to kill him. (The Azrael then was Jean's father) Lehah killed that Azrael and thus began Jean's life as the new Azrael. However, Lehah became a servant of Biiz, the mythological enemy of St. Dumas.
Bane
Bane is perhaps one of the most feared villains in Gotham but not so much now as before. He is the man from South America who (as a heavy Venom user) broke Batman's back and thus began the reign of Jean P. Valley as Batman. By defeating him, Az had secured his right as the keeper of the mantle. However, Jean's own madness forced Batman to drive him out of the mantle. Bane later returned in the series, as only a minor character however.
Nick Scratch
Currently, the biggest villain for Batman and Azrael. He is a darkly evil man that desires wholly the destruction and degradation of Gotham city. He seems to have certain powers of persuasion.
