Lagoon is a shallow body of water separated from the ocean by barrier islands or coral reef.

Long shore drift is the zigzag movement of sediment along the beach by waves approaching the shore at an angle. The swash transports sediment up the beach at an angle and the backwash drags them at right angle to the beach.

Long shore bar is a ridge of sand deposited in the offshore zone by the strong backwash of destructive waves.

Low water mark indicates the limit of beach material that is always submerged.

Mass movement is the downward movement of all weathered material.

Notch is a hollow between the high and low water mark.  This forms by the undercutting of cliffs due to wave action.

Overhang is the upper part of cliff jutting out over a notch.

Pebbled beach is a type of beach, characterized by a steep gradient and selective distribution of pebbles:  the smallest are found near the shore and the largest are found further inland.  

Raised beach is an ancient beach now found above the present sea level due to an uplift of the land.

Ria coastline is a drowned river valley.  It is deepest at its mouth and becomes progressively shallower inland.

Ridge is a high strip of land.

Rock resistance is the ability of rock to withstand erosion.
