Week Four:
Continuing the show tonight is Heather and Ashley singing "Does He Love You?" by :   Nick: Heather and Nicole, I thought that performance was alright. Its one of the first performances in this competition that I haven't been blown away by. Heather, you sounded, you hit the notes nicely. However, to be perfectly honest, Ashley, you took away from the song ALOT. Some parts you went way overboard and it was hard to bear. You need to be REALLY careful when singing to make sure your not singing too much into the mic and making it sound unpleasant. It could have been good, but I just really didn't like it at all.
Ksenia: An ok duet. Some of the harmonies seemed a little distant (on the last "like he's been lovin me" before the instrumental) Ashley ended up changing a lot of the melody which seemed to mess with the rhythm of the song. Some pitch errors on her part also. Besides the few funky harmonies, they rest sounded nice but I'd don't believe your voices blend as well. There was good effort though.
Do you want Ashley are Heather to advance? Please wait till the end of the show to vote!

Finally, performing tonight we have Dean and Kyle N, singing "Angel" by Sarah MacLaughlin:   Nick: Dean and Kyle, when I heard the two of you were working together, I got really excited. You two always have very good performances that are full of energy. Your choice of song was unusual for a duet, and I don't think it worked. The harmonies sounded wonderful, but the song was boring. I expected a lot more from you two. You had a chance to totally blow the others out of the water this week, but I definately feel like the song was boring and not to special.
Ksenia: I really love this song and I think its one of the tougher songs to sing because of how the melody line is exposed (just the chords under the melody line). Some slight pitch errors and strange harmonies but it got better into the song. I thought the ending harmonies starting at 2:40 leading to the end and the build at 3:36 were really nice (decants worked well) Hard song to sing and you did a very nice job with the exception of those few things.
Do you want Dean and Kyle N to advance? Wait till the end to vote!
