Article 2.0 - 28 Finalists

Now we are talking! VPI2 recieved many great auditions, but we only had room for 28 to advance! The 28 were divided into 4 groups of 7. 2 people will advance from each group, as well as 4 from the Wildcard which will compose our Final 12! There is alot of talent in this season, so things are bound to get exciting! This brand new adventure has only begun! Good Luck Everyone!

Wildcards:

Again, we would like to thank Reality Reel Media for hosting our sound files once again this season, it is very appreciated.

Next up is Mike Sheehan, originally from Group 3, singing "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynard Skynard:

Nick: Mike, I thought you did alright with this song. It was fun and enjoyable to listen to it. You kind of went flat alot. But overall, it was well done. Keep up the consisten effort! Good Luck.

Ksenia: The good thing is you have a nice tone to your voice but it sounds more suited for classic standards than pop music (think Rod Stewart's new albums) you were flat on most of the song up until the key change where you got more of the notes but still had some pitch errors. I think it was the wrong song to do; you seemed to speak a lot of it rather than connect and sing it.

Cory: This performance was very nasal and it sound like the whole song was sung on the same note there was like no variation I dont really feel you did the song justice you didnt get into it at all either.

Do you want Mike to advance? Results are coming soon!

Next up tonight is Lexie Lindskog, singing "God Bless The USA" by Kelly AI2 Idols

Nick: Lexie, that was fairly well done! It was hard to hear your voice for the majority of the song, but the parts I did hear sounded good. However, compared to the other ladies in this competition, there isn't anything exciting about your voice. I think it's good, but just not good enough for me.

Ksenia: I think this was better than your last. You still are falling a bit flat on pitches here and there (think of raising the eyebrows and keeping the energy going, standing up when singing is really good) The mix was pretty good on this but I think bringing your vocals up a little more at the chorus would be better (maybe add a little reverb) I really enjoyed you ending on it, the run flowed well. Just work a little more on pitch and make vocals more prominent when there are lots of background music/singers.

Cory: Good Job Lexie! I was impressed by this song, but it was a little low for your voice which I'm sure you know already but it's one of the better ones I have heard from you good job girl!

Do you want Lexie to advance? Please stay tuned to find out!
