The 28 were divided into 4 groups of 7. 2 people will advance from each group, as well as 4 from the Wildcard which will compose our Final 12! There is alot of talent in this season, so things are bound to get exciting! This brand new adventure has only begun! Good Luck Everyone!
Wildcards:
Continuing the show tonight is our Idol Newcomer, Jacob Dee singing "Open Arms" by the Journey:   Nick: Jacob, that wasn't the best, but it wasn't terrible. I think you could have done alot better if you had used a back track to tie your performance together. This is a really hard song to sing, but I fell you did alright! Keep up the good work.
Ksenia: As much as I hate this song (everyone learn this before you sing this song) you did a respectable job. Watch out for runs, you tend to slightly fall out of key (the pop-ish ornamentals are what I'm talking about) your lower notes ("lying together") were rich and wonderful. On middle range and higher try giving it more space to make it flow easier (think of yawning, feel the back of the throat rise and you get an awesome open feeling. Now sing through that space, it really does help a lot) on the last "now I come to you" you flatted on "you" so be sure to keep the energy moving. Overall well done, work on a few things and it'll be grand!
Cory: This was okay nothing special but nothing that terrible either but I do think you should use a backing track it will help time you better and well yeah thats all I have to say I guess but watch the pitches too!
Do you want JD to advance? Please wait till the end of the show to find out!

Next up is Kyle Norman, singing "For Once In My Life" by Stevie Wonder:   Nick: Kyle, I have always seen you as one of the stronger performance, and that was absolutely amazing! Well Done! I loved the fact that you picked a fun and upbeat. The falsetto was a nice touch too! I loved it! Good Luck!
Ksenia: This was almost perfect. You pushed some of the top notes to give them a belt kind of thing but be really careful doing that (go into falsetto if you need to) you have a great tone and I could really hear you singing some contemporary musical theater. Try not control so much that you notes come out pinched, just breathe, open the throat/mouth and let it fly( my vocal teacher's theory to higher notes).
Cory: I'm not a big fan of the song itself, and it was too high for you is really easy to tell that you were reaching for the notes, i felt you could have done a bit better.
Do you want Kyle to advance? Wait till the end to see if he does!
