FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
VirtueCard Sets the Standard With Its Virtual Credit Card
TORONTO, Ontario Oct. 23, 2000 A new player in the
credit card industry has emerged and unveiled its new
product. Unlike
its large competitors Visa, MasterCard, and American
Express, however, VirtueCard’s product is intangible
and no physical card actually exists.
According
to VirtueCard CEO, Kevin Kwan, “today's society is
completely dependent on the whole idea of “buy now,
pay later”, and that's where credit cards come into
play. However, people hesitate to buy online
because they are uncomfortable with typing their
credit card number online in fear of fraud.”
With a virtual credit card, there's no actual
physical card, which eliminates people from forging
your signature. All
transactions are performed online. This includes
tasks such as checking the account balance online and
paying bills.
The
company has incorporated many security features into
its product in order to minimize the chances of fraud.
This includes a user ID and password required
for all transactions and complete contact information
verification.
