The C.C.B.A. History
The Canary Colour Breeders Association was formed in 1947 and today boasts an International membership of almost 700 members. Unlike some other Specialist Societies, the C.C.B.A. caters for all breeders of all varieties of Coloured Canaries, Clears and Selfs, in all ground colours and feather types.
The Colour Breeder magazine
The Colour Breeder magazine is issued twice yearly and contains many interesting articles by leading members on various aspects of breeding Coloured Canaries. Each issue also contains excellent colour photographs of Clear and Self exhibits.
Are you as a breeder and exhibitor of Coloured Canaries aware that there is a Specialist Society in existence which caters for every aspect of this section of the fancy?
Open Shows
Patronages are granted to Open Shows throughout Great Britain at which special prizes are competed for by C.C.B.A. members. In addition to this the Association promotes its own All Colour Canary Show where its many trophies are up for competition. Major patronages are also provided for the regional Zone Shows.
Zones
To enable members to keep in touch with current events, regional Zones have been formed throughout Great Britain. For more information on the Zone covering your area click on the Zones link to the left.
Competitive Prices
The Association supplies to members, at competitive prices, closed rings and the main colouring agent used by British Coloured Canary Breeders, Carophyll Red.
Free Theft Insurance
For UK members, subscriptions include a £500 free theft insurance arranged with Lloyds brokers. The level of cover can be increased at the member's discretion on application to the Secretary.
Interested In Becoming A Judge
For those fanciers interested in progressing to the status of a Judge, the Association has a scheme for training and assessing its Judges. During the training programme a series of assessments are required to be completed to progress through to each of the three levels finalising at Advanced Level status.
