I feel and believe about B&D:
I feel that casual play is nice, but just entertainment. The spiritual
union between Master and sub is what I seek when I bind you and torture
you, train you, make love to you, and discipline you. I'm strict, but
I never lose sight of WHY I'm strict - to help my lady be someone we
both
will be proud of, and to bind her soul closer to mine.
There are indeed more important things than a position being perfect. But I get a lot of joy out of seeing my submissive perform an action perfectly and beautifully - that's the point, after all, to help the submissive be beautiful and graceful, and to give her a way to serve her Master and give her Master pleasure.
I think a submissive's happy laughter is beautiful, and an honor to her Master. I have a romantic view of B&D, and I believe that the Spiritual side is the most important part - that the play and the techniques and the toys are ultimately a means to that end, to the union of the spirits of Master and submissive.
Do you understand that the same woman that needs a warm lover also needs a touch of cruelty and the strictest discipline? If something is to give light, it must first endure burning. I believe a submissive needs sensitivity and kindness. Control isn't always cold. The same hands that can leave marks of punishment can gently caress those marks; the same lips that can speak harshly, can whisper lovingly.
Thoughts on training, real life vs. online, etc.:
I'm pretty good at training and developing subs until they can do this scene at a pretty intense level - takes time and patience and a gentle touch, of course. That's just my basic scene - I play lots of other ways. Some scenes are purely sensual and sexual, for example - depends on my mood and the lady I'm playing with. I think with a new sub, it's important at first to play consistently so she can relax into her submission - it think knowing what's coming next allows a lady to let herself go when she's playing with someone she doesn't know that well. And I really love developing a lady's trust in me. That trust and submission gets me higher than anything else on earth
Actually, in real life as opposed to online, there are a lot more subs of both sexes than Doms. In fact, it's so easy to find a sub that Doms are vulnerable to becoming arrogant, and Doms with harems of two or three subs, or more, are common. I'm very picky, however. When I hire electricians for my business, I commonly interview fifty candidates to hire one man, and they only work for me. A submissive, my submissive, is very important to me, and I don't intend to make the choice lightly or hastily.

OK - favorite things? Well, I race sports cars, read voraciously, hike, sketch and carve wood.
Favorite form of play? That's more difficult - I particularly like coaxing subs into trying new or difficult things. I also particularly like training subs. I love singletails and canes - they're my favorite toys. Floggers, straps, and violet wands are a close second. I usually start with an OTK spanking, then some sensual and stingy play (pinwheels and feathers, vampire gloves, switches), then flogging, starting light and moving up to intense. Then I usually whip her with a 6' bullwhip, starting gently and building up to the edge of her limit. Then I take a break, cuddle her and feed her snacks and water, play with her sexually and talk to her, before finishing up with a warm-up and caning. Then, of course, it's off to the bedroom.
