Some More

It's good to have some time without Internet so I can be more creative, write some stuff, read some more and even spend more time responding e-mail. When there was no Internet as we know it I used to spend my nights being more productive but now I log in to Internet Relay Chat channels, download music, collect e-books, read some on-line publications and when it just gets good, time to sleep. Going further, my own homepage is an unfinished project just because I don't find time for thinking about it. I love my Palm handheld just because it allows me to let e-mail and readings for the bus, line-ups and other "empty" moments in my day instead of when I sit in front of my computer. Many times I find myself doing "cut and paste" with text from previously-written e-mails or notes. From time to time I like to be logged-off and give my mind some air, we're living in the hyperinformation age and this excess of data even being very exciting (specially for me) leads us to a mindstorm, it's like being addicted to knowledge, you get high with it but it takes you totally from the real world, from your life, to another level of living where you don't know what's happening to your neighbors but is really connected to someone else's life in the other side of the world. So many things I wrote about me, so many words spread all around the globe... It's really easy to fall in love for someone as easy is never get in touch again. This glass-curtain that is our computer also happens to be our shape-shifter, changing our look to whatever we want. How would I know whether I met someone real or just an avatar? It's not because I'm true that the other people I talk to are too. As in real life, there's always the one who gives and the one who takes but many times the naive from the giver finds the evilness from the taker, someone hidden behind it's mask, forging it's own escape from reality, going against those whose just wanted to extend their living experiences. Here dies the philosopher.
