According to former bassist Share Pederson, as quoted in the old fan club newsletter at the time, EMI had a fight with their management, and EMI dropped all of their management's artists.(??? makes no sense to us either) This has been confirmed by several people.
Unknown on the memorabilia. We're hoping that since the band has reformed that there may be a re-release of the first two albums (?), although we're just speculating. As always keep an eye on those cut-out bins, if there were any in storage they may be digging them out now. Also search Yahoo for Vinyl Vendors or Music Machine they did list several CD, cassette and vinyl in their catalog (we have never ordered from either one)
Last we heard '96-97. Jan was in California playing nightclubs with her new band. Reported to be working on new material.
We did received a couple mysterious e-mail messages from "Somebody" who said they had info on Jan and her new band, but we haven't heard from them lately. Hopefully we will again.
Share was teaching bass at the Bass Institute of Technology in California, and reportedly has a new band named Bubble.
As far as we know Pia and Steve Vai are still married.
Laurie Hedlund we're told is still actively singing, playing drums in L.A. and currently teaching astrology at the Carrol Righter Institute in Hollywood.
Gayle Erickson-DeMatoff is reported to be now living and writing in Colorado.
The address we were given (about the the time of Tangerine) was:
but it's unknown if it is still active
