"A Simple Man"

I am not a great man

To give you great things,

Nor am I a king

To give you anything you dreamed.

I am just a simple man

Nothing to give but my simple hands.

A hand that won't harm

Instead, will hold your arms

And caress every bit of your charm.

I am not a prophet

To tell you what lies ahead,

Nor am I a god

Who created things from up above.

I am just a simple man

Nothing to give but the best of what I am

I have nothing...

I am no one...

I am but a simple man.
