"Daybreak" by Maxfield Parrish

Dream Maker's Dream

The Dream Maker weaves her dream

And cast a spell with moonlight beam.

"Alas!"  she said, "behold thy dream..."

"A Lady so fair beside a stream."

She moved about with so much grace

As I kept on staring at Her lovely face.

Although amidst the violet haze,

Her beauty seems to be all over the place.

Then she glanced at me with the sweetest smile,

My thoughts run wild a thousand mile,

She does it good with such poise and style,

And whispered,

"... Come my prince and stay awhile."

Then I held my breath and drew a sigh,

My heart beats faster as I drew nigh

But lo and behold, in the wink of an eye

She vanished without saying goodbye.

My Lady so fair beside a stream

Is but a Dream Maker weaving a dream..
