Maxfield Parrish
I Think Of You

When the sun sets on the horizon
and the Moon rises in the night,
when all its silvery light
spewing colours all through the night
I think of you

The trees,
towering magnificently over the hills,
gently swaying with the summer breeze,
soothes a weary soul of unending bliss

The soft blow of the wind
and the humming of a hymn
are music to my ear
that brings forth a quiet cheer

Then I would refrain
and think of nothing
but think of you.

The chirping of the birds,
the rustling of the leaves,
the greens of the fields,
and the deep blue colour of the lake
reminds me nothing
but think of you.

The dampness of the earth
the rays of the morning sun
the fragrance of a flower
and the stillness of the night,
Are things that constantly reminds me,
that I was never alone
always felt that I was at home.

Because I always think,
and think of no one ...
But think of you.
