"Maid With Golden Hair"
by Lord Frederick Leighton
"Mhy"
(for Myra Constantino)

There was a certain glint in your eyes that is inviting.
There was this certain charm I find so inspiring.

Helen of Troy would have been very jealous...
Venus de Milo would have been very envious...
If they were real and alive today,
Their reactions would have been quite obvious.

I am certain that the gods too,
must have been very restless.
Yours is a beauty so spectacular,
you leave everybody breathless!

You are such a nature’s wonderful work of art.
Any man would have certainly wished you in his heart
Only a fool would have missed gazing such a beauty.
Only a fool would have ignored such an opportunity.

I for one, if given a chance
Won't passed up the opportunity
to hold you even for once.
But I guess I'm wishing too much
and dreaming too high...

Or am I?

Tell me Mhy.
Otherwise,
"Don't let me fell for you,
if only you will break my heart.
Cast not your spell on me,
if only you'll tear me apart ..."
