"Picture Frame"

There we stood... Lifeless
Framed photos in gold exteriors
Laminated and plastic-covered
Protected by all means
From rust and tear
Rust that will eat our sanity
Tear that would break our hearts
So when he came to make a purchase
We all thought our miseries ended

One by one, He scanned us
Touching our body with his warmth
He feeling the cold touch of metal
I feeling the warm touch of life
He picked me...
And I froze perplexed
Shocked at the fate my life possessed
But proud that I passed his meticulous test
In his excruciating assessment
"I was the best"

In his arms, He hold me
In his home, He had me
In his life, He put me
In his stare, He froze me
Froze me like a glacier, lifeless
Froze me like an iceberg, still
Caged me in my frame forever
I, the photo and He, the King
