Back To Concordia's Poem List

Rain

Once again it poured
as I watch every drop
trickle down my window pane...

With the gentle breeze
with  which it rides
they came... memories

Once again they came rushin'
sweetly...
lovingly...
painfully...

Every raindrop echoes your loving voice
which then used to refresh
my thirsty soul

Every raindrop mirrors how
we were last summer
before you said your adieu

Every raindrop sparkles like
the tears, the countless tears
that fell after that goodbye

Gone.

All gone...
But the rain...
The memories...
The love within me stayed.
