"Untitled I"

In the darkness I saw a gentle light
Gold flecked glow that amber hope
An image radiated light at the end of his trail
The burning bush of my world appeared before me
Afraid, I guarded myself from being burned

No... not me, I told myself
But like a moth in the dark, attraction was fatal
Yet I persisted
trapped...
burned...

Instead of being laid down to ashes
Something within me spread like wildfire... burning!
Not just my desire, but my inhibitions
Not just my awareness, but my reasoning
Not just my body, but my soul

Now I'm in a furnace
Of love, of reason, of happiness
I'm glowing... scorched!
Yet it showed me where I am in the dark
Giving light to my own world

Not feeling, not giving justification
Not a chance for morality to prove itself
But a glimpse of how true love can be
Here therefore, I will remain
