"Your Hand"

Your hand...
Got the umbrella and opened it up
Shielded both of us from the rain
shivered a once, bottom to top
If you moved closer, I'd go insane

Your hand...
Held the unbrella even tighter
Your grip became firm and strong
And as we stood even closer
I didn't complain, there was nothing wrong

Your hand...
Kept me dry and protected
As you held the umbrella so tight
And my breathing, it panted
I was battling for comfort with all my might

Your hand
Slowly rested on my shoulder
Making me so weak inside
The cold wind and your hand made me shiver
And the excitement in me cannot hide

Your hand...
Made me feel better
It made the frightened sun smile
Now it shone even brighter
Just 'cause your hand,
Rested for awhile
