FROM A BRASILIAN VOLUNTEER

 

 

"I got to Muxía on Feb/20th and worked as a volunteer washing off fuel for two months, unselfishly, simply because I love nature, the ocean, the beaches, the sea animals and every stone in Muxía.

 

I was concerned with future generations, with swimmers' and fish customers' health and families that live on fishing and tourism. That's why I joined a peaceful demonstration on April 18th during the Conger Eel Fair where we demanded the continuation of the coast cleaning activities and protested against the Army's services being removed and the coming of new volunteers prevented (more than 20.000 signed up since november) Despite the fact that there are 11 beaches and coves unattended (among 22 damaged spots altogether) in Muxía.

 

Civil Protection didn't allow me neither to volunteer nor to sleep in the Sports Center anymore.

 

Discouraged, uncontented, mouth-covered, hand-tied, with black tears in my eyes, I've been forced to leave Muxía...

 

But I will never surrender!

 

I keep fighting from somewhere else.

Thanks a million to the grateful ones for your warm welcome.

 

And thanks too to the grateless ones that welcomed me with stones, for they made me stronger in the fight."

¿Y TU QUE PIENSAS?

 

 

Esto, mas que un chiste, es una reflexión y una explicación de por que no se puede ser bueno y perverso a la vez.

 

Se dice que cuando se creo el mundo, los dioses, sobre la sede siempre segura de todos los Inmortales que habitaban en la nevada cumbre del Olimpo, decidieron concederles a los humanos dos virtuales.

 

Es por ello que…

 

  • A los ingleses les hizo persistentes y estudiosos.

  • A los japoneses les hizo trabajadores y pacientes.

  • A los italianos alegres y románticos.

  • A los franceses les hizo cultos y refinados.

  • A los suizos les hizo ordenados y cumplidores de la ley.

 

Y cuando el turno le llego a los españoles, los reflexivos dioses decidieron que estos iban a ser “inteligentes, buenas personas y del Partido Popular”.

 

Cuando acabaron de crear el mundo, Eros, el más hermoso entre todos los dioses inmortales, pregunto confuso a los allí reunidos:

 

“Queridos compañeros, ¿Por qué decidisteis dotar a todos los habitantes del mundo con dos virtudes y a los españoles con tres? Esto hará que prevalezcan sobre todos los demás”.

 

Y adelantándose Zeus a responder, dijo:

 

“Estupenda rectificación hermosa deidad. Pues bien, haré algo al respecto, como las virtudes divinas hacia los mortales no se pueden eliminar, los españoles a partir de ahora tendrán tres, pero no podrán tener mas de dos virtudes a la vez”.

 

Así:

 

  • El español que es del Partido Popular y buena persona, no puede ser inteligente.

  • El que es inteligente y del Partido Popular no puede ser buena persona.

  • Y el que es inteligente y buena persona, no puede ser del Partido Popular.

 

Palabra divina.
