Dr. Seetharam Gowda ,President of VPA-EAST welcomed the Members gathered at the Spring 2000
Get-Together function on behalf of all
VPA-EAST members. He expressed his appreciation
to all the committee members for taking initiative and working hard to
make this function in Baltimore Washington Area.
Dr. Seetharam Gowda, President
of VPA-EAST introduced and welcomed the chief guests
of honor Dr. Devangi M Sreekanth ,National VPA President
and Ramesh Malekal , National VPA Secretary.

Mr. Srinivas Gowda, Treasurer , VPA-EAST
presented the financial report for the
year 1999.

Dr. Sreekanth and Mr. Malekal
thanked VPA-EAST for inviting them for the get-together and presented
the status of the National VPA. They invited all the
VPA-EAST members and their families to the VPA Millenium convention 2000 in
Indian Lakes Resort at Chicago.
They hoped that VPA members will be able to take this
opportunity to combine this VPA conference with a leisurely vacation for the
whole family.

Dr. Anjanappa, Election officer presided the election of the new office bearers for
the year 2000 - 2002. Following are the new office bearers:
- Mr. Srinivas Gowda, Frederick MD, President
- Dr. Sreenivas V, Silver Spring MD,Secretary
- Mr. Suresh Gowda, Glen Allen VA, Joint Secretary
- Ms. Meena Gowda, Brookeville MD, Treasurer
- Mr. Shankar Chakkere, Germantown MD, Web Master
Mr. Srinivasa Gowda, Cherry Hill NJ, former VPA-EAST President was nominated
for the National VPA President for the year 2000-2002. The election will be
held at Chicago VPA Millenium Convention.

- Kolata by Anjanappa,Nalini,Sandesh,Leela,Prafulla,Vanitha,Srinivas,Sujatha, Seetharam and Swarup

The Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Channe Gowda.

The cultural events were adjourned at 7 P.M. to join dinner.
DJ (D.J Express) was another attraction after the dinner. Children and
Adults joined and danced together till 10.30 P.M
