Finally, the technology is beginning to win back lost ground to the insanity of the LAWYERS and GREEDY people.  Radio stations are coming back online -- with local commercials blocked to keep those idiots at bay.

Below is a list of some internet radio sites on the World Wide Web.  Unfortunately, the RIAA is trying to cash in on the popularity of this media and consequently is killing it.  Many stations have simply pulled the plug on their simulcasts to the internet.  I have merely changed the links to strikethru  in hopes that the insanity will pass over soon.

From the Mix 107.3 site: AFTRA, the union that represents actors who voice radio commercials signed a new contract with advertising agencies. Per the new contract, actors are to be paid 300 percent of their normal fee if radio stations play their ads on the Internet as well as on the radio.

The U.S. Copyright Office ruled that stations that stream music over the Internet must pay double royalties for each song they play—once for playing it on the radio and once for playing it on the Internet.

The radio industry appealed the ruling but it was upheld by the Supreme Court. When we have the royalty issue resolved with the record labels and the software technology which will allows us to selectively mute commercials, we'll be back on line.
