Welcome the the 2nd Grade! I am Mrs. McNeely your second grade teacher. We will be doing many exciting things this year. I look forward to working with all of you.

Second grade is a big step for many of you. We will work very hard on developing your reading and writing skills this year. Some things you can do at home with your parents that will help you are:

READ! READ! READ! It doesn't matter what, just read. The more you read, the better you read.
If you have a computer at home, try fun educational games.
If you have a word processing program, fiddle around with it. Make birthday cards, thank you cards, write letters to friends or just keep a diary.
