Any person owning a Pinto or who is interested in the Pinto shall be eligible for membership.
Full financial members over the age of 18 are eligible to vote at any meeting.
Membership may be in joint or multiple names, however one membership shall only have one vote.
Stallion and Mare owners must become full financial members.
Gelding owners may become full members or associate members.
Associate members are not entitled to register animals, vote at meetings or eligible for committee positions.
Advantages of membership are Newsletters, Yearbook, promotional material, horse happenings and social events.
REGISTRATION
You must become a member of the Victorian Pinto Society in order to register a Pinto.
FOAL IDENTIFICATION is done by post and signifies the recording from birth to adult registration. Foal recording can only be applied to foals before reaching the age of 1 year. The foal is issued with a
certificate that expires at the age of 2 years for fillies and geldings and 4 years for colts.
ADULT REGISTRATION All mares and geldings aged 2 years and over are registered by post. Membership and registration forms are available from the secretary. Take two (2) photos - one of each side of the side of the animal. Photos must be clear, directly side on and show all of the animal.
Stallions 2 years and over must apply by mail to the committee. A current veterinary certificate of soundness and five (5) photos must accompany the application. Photos must be (a) right side of the animal (b) left side of the animal (c) directly in front of the animal (d) directly behind the animal, must include rump to heels. Whole of legs down to and including the hooves must be visible (e) second photo of side showing the most white patches.
Applications for stallions are viewed at committee meetings which are held monthly.
