Chapter 13
Chichiri!
Kiyoshi had been through a lot. Meeting Karen Cinantani, battling her new foe, meeting new people and finding out more about herself, and her past. Everything was happening so fast... She was happy to have some company. Kiyoshi looked to the side of her, smiling softly at the tiny panda curled up and sleeping against the tree. The bark was surprisingly smooth against Kiyoshi’s leather-covered back, and she lay her head against it, gazing through the foliage and to the midnight blue sky. The stars were only raindrops of white light on the clear window the sky made. It was silent, all but for the sounds of Felicity’s quiet breathing.
Kiyoshi sighed and a small wind blew through the leaves causing them to dance over the beautiful ballroom floor of space. They were a wonderfully deep shade of green, and the bark a brownish gray. Kiyoshi closed her tired eyes once again to sleep until morning. She would have to start off again at sunrise.

A tint of red sat atop Kiyoshi’s closed eyes, and she squinted as she desperately tried to pry them open. Patches of gold and blue fell through the leaves and into Kiyoshi’s sight as she stared up into the beautiful morning sky. "Wha... Are we late?" Kiyoshi mumbled and rubbed her head, trying to wake up. The fresh scent of wild flowers flooded into Kiyoshi’s system. She took a deep breath and sighed. It was a fresh morning, and breakfast popped into her mind. "Oh, I’m so hungry! Felicity, do we have any... Felicity?" Kiyoshi snapped her head to the spot where Felicity had slept and saw nothing. There was a small, round, flattened area in the grass from when she had rested there, but Felicity was no where to be seen. Kiyoshi stood, shaking the gorgeous smells and sights she wanted to savor.
She started down the grassy hill they had climbed up the previous night, stopping once for a brief moment to watch the flowers intertwine with the grass as the wind blew. The hushing sound it breathed was calming to her, and she longed to stay and watch the flowers all day. Kiyoshi continued, this time yelling Felicity’s name every now and then. "Felicity! Felicity, where are you?!" Kiyoshi was growing angry at the disappearance of her so-called companion. Kiyoshi couldn’t help but think... "Where could she have gone...?"
Kiyoshi stopped abruptly, her ear twitching at the sound of crunching. It sounded as if a ripe, juicy fruit had just gotten its thin peel busted through and its juices were sucked neatly away. Kiyoshi’s stomach rumbled and a bead of sweat ran down her head as she almost face faulted. How could she think of food at a time like this?
Kiyoshi entered the forest to the right of her where the sound had come from and looked up into a tree full of huge, red apples. The leaves were large and dense, making it hard to see any father than several branches up. The crunching sound was heard again, not as loudly this time, and was followed by happy chewing, the juices fizzing as they were disturbed from inside the ovary. Kiyoshi’s stomach grumbled once again, and she reached up to pluck an apple for herself. A small, fuzzy, black and white head poked out from the foliage and Kiyoshi jumped back in fright. "ITAI!" Kiyoshi held her arm up, the metal plate slipping quickly to the side and the gun rising from the depths of her metal arms. Kiyoshi’s eyes were clenched tightly shut, her arm vibrating a little as she forced herself to open them again.
