| OUR OBLIGATIONS AS RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERS |
| AS PET OWNERS, WE MUST: |
| 1. Always conduct ourselves and handle our pets in a responsible manner. As an individual owner, you represent the greater group. Represent them well. 2. Educate the public and other owners. It is no longer acceptable to walk on by. By doing so, you indirectly promote irresponsible ownership and an eventual loss of YOUR privilege to keep animals as pets. 3. Care for our own animals to the best of our ability. Provide them with food, water, medical care, shelter and love. Lead by example. 4. Avoid promoting or condoning abuse of ownership- dog fighting, cock fighting, money breeders and people who own animals for the "cool factor," to impress friends. 5. Stay up to date on current information regarding your animals and pet ownership. Support your species! 6. Respect others. Respect other owners, and most importantly, respect non-owners. Don't force your animal(s) or your beliefs on anyone. |
