Writers' Resources

When I decided I wanted to become a writer, it was an easy decision for me--I loved to write.  But then came the hard part--I joined a critique group, and though they were very supportive and pointed out all the good aspects of my writing, they also pointed out all the glaring errors I had made as a novice.  Then I was bombarded with all these writing "rules".  I soon became confused and almost hung up my pen for good.

But I started to do some research on the web and read articles and books on writing.  I also read as many genre books as I could.  Slowly, and with the help of some great critique groups, I've learned to develop my skill as a writer, and hopefully, one day soon, an editor will recognize that talent, and all the effort I've put into honing my writing will pay off.

Over the years, I've made notes and added bookmarks from all the different sources I've encountered.  I've tried to compile the most useful here, in the hopes that they'll be useful to someone else.  They were definitely helpful to me!!  I still tend to use them frequently, whenever I'm stuck on an issue or need to mold another aspect of writing.
